Don’t get me wrong. It was a well written resume. The guy clearly had skills. He zeroed in on the right key words. He quantified his many accomplishments. You could tell he read the job announcement carefully. What his lengthy resume lacked, however, was closure. Resume Rx: Keep it short and sweet people. Short and sweet. This isn’t rocket science. Of course, there may be times you need to provide a 2+ page resume to a prospective employer. Those times are unique. Based on the circumstances, you’ll know when to create such a resume.
